They say you can have anything in life if you dress for it. Moving out of my house and going to college in the national capital was a transformational experience for me. Brands like Allen Solly, Peter England, and Louis Phillippe gave me the much-needed confidence that helped me thrive and survive in the real world.
As mentioned numerous times before, Aditya Birla Group has impacted my life in a BIG way and this has become an integral part of my life.
Overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions
The key to life is accepting challenges and the biggest hurdle in my life turned out to be the greatest learning experience. I moved out of my town when I was sixteen. A young boy, I was suddenly exposed to the big city where I had to thrive and strive for excellence.
I am the younger born in my family and have been protected all my life. Moving out and trying to make a niche for me was an overwhelming experience. Halfway through my course, I decided to take up a new challenge of pursuing management post my graduation. It was a decision that entailed and required a lot of hard work and dedication. From completely care free and casual about life to learning the importance of hard work, dedication, and focus, I had to burn the midnight oil and toil. I had heard that change is the only constant but I experienced it only when I moved out from my comfort zone. Change with the changing environment, keeping up with my regular college work and simultaneously preparing for the common admission test taught me perseverance and transformed me into a more balanced individual. The journey of a small town boy with a spark to make a difference translated into pursuing an MBA degree at Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi.
I have started believing in challenging myself and overcoming them steadily with a systematic approach. Staying strong and focused in the face of adversity is the true hallmark of an achiever and day by day I take baby steps towards achieving my goals.
