There are companies that create products. Then there are companies that create a lifestyle for people. Aditya Birla Group is one of those conglomerates which have impacted almost every aspect of peoples’ lives.
Since my childhood, I have been associated with ABG brands in some way or the other. To begin with, the ‘more. stores’ which ABG owned for more than 10 years before selling it to Witzig Advisory Services in 2018. I have been visiting more stores for years, which is a one-stop solution to all daily product needs offered at attractive deals.
Next comes the extensive collection of apparels offered by Forever 21 (ABG owns India rights to Forever 21 since 2016) which has been on my top priority list when it comes to shopping for gifting closed ones.
Somehow I have always been restricted to experience mostly the retail products of ABG until I witnessed the construction of my own house. It was that moment when I saw truckloads of Ultra Tech Cement bags with ABG logo on it being brought to the site for it to be used as a material in concrete. My father never had a second thought to consider any other cement brand for our house, and this confidence in him has made me believe that ABG products are completely reliable. It is really hard for any company to win such confidence level among consumers, and ABG has been doing it for an eternity now. It has now become hard to imagine life without ABG products, and that makes it be listed among the brands that create a lifestyle for people!

PART-B
One should always push their limits beyond the existing ones in order to improve further in life. A similar thing happened to me when I got the opportunity to do my internship in Bangalore during my MBA.
Being born and brought up in Delhi, I have somehow always managed to stay with my family since my childhood. It always seemed like a nightmare to me to stay alone away from family in a new city.
But as an MBA student, the objective is to become self-sufficient and independent so that one can handle any and every situation that arises in future. It is extremely important to understand the requirements and blend with the culture one is put into.
This is where I gained the courage to move from Delhi to Bangalore alone for two months and perform during my internship along with arranging all necessities in a city where I have never been before. Being new to the city, I was always put to a trade-off situation between the desired and what is available or achievable.
It definitely improved my interpersonal skills, as I was noticing how I was able to co-relate both as a consumer in the city, as well as an intern, interacting with different teams, understanding their expectations and finding ways to deliver to them.
To conclude, spending two months in a new city and with new people around has transformed me into a new and different individual which, frankly, was a very necessary stepping stone towards achieving my ambitions!
