PART A : ABG – Influencing Lives
Aditya Birla Group, has been into business in many different verticals since independence starting with the jute manufacturing company. It is an Indian multinational conglomerate which operates in 35 countries across the globe.
My personal connect with the company is with its fashion and retail division – Pantaloons (Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited), which is recognized as the India’s most trusted fashion retailer in the Brand Equity Survey of the Economic Times 2016-17 and telecommunication division – Idea, which not only changed people’s lives but also transformed rural and semi-urban India by providing mobile connections in affordable prices. Idea realized that they are not new in this segment of market, so they have to come up with a strategy through which they can connect with people and provide the best customer experience. They launched exceptional campaigns that resonates their brand name itself – Idea. The best campaigns were the “no ullu banaoing” one and the “Walk when you talk – What an Idea”.
Apart from these divisions, Grasim Industries Limited which was founded days after independence has been the most successful venture of the Birlas with 1530 crores as the net profit in Q4 in the financial year 2018-19, won the Dun & Bradstreet award in the textile sector.
Through commitment, passion, dedication and adhering to its vision and mission, ABG won the Social Impact award by ICC and the AON Best Employer Award. ABG will continue to inspire and change our lives with its unique, customer-centric and creative ideas.
Part – B : Nirbhau Nirvair(Without Fear, Without Hate)
Being raised by a single mother, life was full of challenges for me and my mother at every stage. But the way my mother nurtured and guided me helped me to face every challenge in life and achieve my goals through perseverance and hard work.
I was not the brightest but talented and had a transformation from Chatur to Rancho after I reached middle school. From childhood the environment in which I had lived had inculcated a fear of speaking up whether it is a small conversation or speaking in public. But when I saw speech of eminent people and personalities, I tried to imitate them and tried to connect with people starting a small conversation with them. It really helped me to overcome my stage fear and I was able to host various events and functions in my school and college with full of confidence and energy.
My internships and projects also helped me to connect with people and understand the importance of team work. I always then followed a saying that journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
