Athiya Birla Group is Big in my Life.
Intentionally or unintentionally, I travelled with Athiya Birla Group throughout the journey of my life. When I was a kid, an advertisement attracted me more than any other. “The name only changes”, this is the theme of that advertisement, telecasted in 2004 when L&T cement renamed as Ultratech cement. The reason why I liked that advertisement is quite simple. My house was built by using L&T cement, just a year before the advertisement telecasted. Though at that age, I know nothing about the brand, merging, etc., I used to like that. Still, I love that brand name not because of India’s largest cement company, but because of my house.
Apart from this, how ABG, who is roaring around 32 countries with 120,000 employees, related to me? It happened during my under graduation days at Trichy. I used to purchase apparel at Pantaloons. Things happened without knowing that it belongs to ABG. When I came to know this, once again I got excited and surprised. I used to maintain this relationship when I was at my first job at Trichy.
Aluminum products remind me that, they hold the first position on aluminum rolling globally. Are these things the only reason to say ABG is big for me? No. My relation with ABG continued when I bought my first business formals from Peter England. Once again I met ABG unintentionally. This relation moved to the next level when Vodafone and idea networks were merged and became the largest mobile network across the nation. I am a proud customer of them. This is why I announce that ABG is big in my life.
Achievements of my life
Ambition is the fuel for every part of the journey in our life. I too have an ambition. In my childhood, like any other person, I was swung between my various dreams and ambitions. During my under graduation, I decided to be an entrepreneur. For the same, I have to learn various things. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I was in a situation to support my family economically. At the same time, I should work for my dream. Initially, I joined in TIME institute as an aptitude trainer. There I could balance both, preparation for B-school entrance examinations and supporting my family. Also, I used to learn a lot of things regarding business during my free time. I involved myself in various activities of the institution like marketing, scheduling, coordinating, etc., which gave me a broad idea about the business. Simultaneously, I prepared for exams. After one year, I realized that I should learn other forms of business. So, I went to Chennai and worked in SMART, placement training institute. Their preparation for my exams became a difficult task because of the hectic schedule we followed. I used to travel to various parts of south India for college programs. Even though I could learn a lot from these journeys, I couldn’t allocate time for my studies. Yet, I prepared hard and also learned business-oriented things from my job. Exactly at the same time, my family’s economic condition became a little good. So, I wrote CAT-18 and got a good percentile as a result of two year’s preparation. Finally, I get into my dream.
