Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is my all time partner when it comes to formal wear. I wear Peter England to all my interviews and Van Heusen has been my casual wear since college. The style and colours are very contemporary and matches with the present trends in clothing.
Since its inception nearly 150 years ago, ABG has expanded its footprints overseas also. It now has presence in about 34 countries including China & Europe and nearly 50 per cent of its revenue comes from outside India.
From BITS Pilani to Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Delhi, from Freshwrapp to Ultratech cement, from Pentaloons to Birla Balwan, Aditya Birla Group touches our lives in several ways. Be it chemicals or clothing, Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is providing us with our needs since long.
Not only they have excelled in business but also in giving back to the society. Apart from providing scholarships to needy students, ABG also has taken a lot of initiatives such as educating villagers on water-borne diseases and motivating them make their village open-defecation free. Not only ABG educated them but it brought toilets to their villages and also organized Nukkad-Nataks in villages to change the mindset of people. These initiatives bore its fruit when Devari village (which was nurtured by ABG) in Uttar Pradesh was awarded President’s medal under Nirmal Gram Yojana.
Through BITS Pilani, ABG is making a competitive and hard-working workforce which will serve the nation to put it into the best of the economies. Birla Planetarium and Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital are other examples in these.
I think that over the years, ABG has done an excellent work for the country. It showed the path to the industry how excellent profit and excellent Corporate Social Responsibility can go hand in hand. I hope that ABG will continue growing with the pace with which it is growing now and sets an example for sustainable growth.
