       Born in 90’s- being a part of the millennial group- has helped me to see India changing from its traditional roots to modern ways of living. The exponentially paced trends have exposed an Indian citizen to a myriad of brands and values associated with it. Amidst the VUCA times, seeing a company that has aged with the nation and brought this revolution, instills a hope in me that the firm has the strength and leadership to take the nation ahead.  Aditya Birla Group - 150-year-old Group, stands with its rich legacy of values and principles of doing business. It stands as this leader with its brands across various sectors. The group constantly tracked mega trends and the opportunities, hence staying ahead of the curve, be it management systems, processes, people policies or business portfolio. Setting a new trend in Men’s clothing- “Peter England”- was my first experience of the Aditya Birla group brand. It was a new experience for a young chap to enter his corporate life. He wants himself to be represented ‘the best’ among his colleagues. Soon did he saw the various phases of corporate life from formal meets to informal gatherings and sooner did he understand that the way he carries himself instills unique confidence in him. For a formal presentation to be done before clients demanded to clothe that not only instills hope in that chap, but also let him stand out. Some of his friends suggested the formal wear of Peter England. Just for trying out his friend’s advice, he enters the store to realize that indeed he wanted to look like the ‘Mannequin’ dressed in perfect formals. The corporate journey of this chap started with it from thereon with Peter England. Peter England- a brand that has brought trends in the Men’s formal & casual wears. It’s veteran experiences in Standardized fits, superior quality, wide range, and fashionable styles, the trusted mid-segment brand comes with apparel offerings for young men entering the corporate world. The company that has driven the youth into its corporate journey by instilling the same confidence.

"Don't ever let someone tell you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you got to protect it. People can't do something themselves, they want to tell you can't do it. You want something, go get it. Period. All right?" The Pursuit of Happyness                            Since childhood, we have been exposed to various ‘accepted truths’. As one grows, one explores and discovers these underlying Myths in society.  He/ She further challenges these myths and tries breaking them. Though the journey may not be good, the results are fruitful- that was the hope that he/ she carries till the goals.            One such myth that I faced was ‘one person cannot make a difference’. I challenged it to change the surrounding I live in at least. Seeing the society around and the environment around me gave me the ambition to create a better place to live in. I joined an NGO to support my vision. The path was hard with peoples themselves as obstacles to this. The blindfolded money-driven world indeed needs a lesson to be learned. I started spreading awareness on the importance of better living and of how we contribute in destroying nature. These effects were quite imminent in the lower strata of the society. Hence, I started to work for the betterment of the lives of slum dwellers along with improving the surrounding – our Nature. Convincing people is hard- the first lesson I learned that is useful as a part of my management too is useful. Persistence helped me to influence my people and join them too. Touching the ground realities and experiencing the way people are living in the substandard living conditions made me to appreciate life and work for them. I had to struggle to understand their language and behavior. But, it was an experience worth having. I do not say- I made a difference, but I say – I made a contribution in the difference through others. Though there were hardships but ‘breaking the myths’ indeed gave me some satisfaction to have contributed to this society. All one needs is confidence. This confidence is the one that was instilled in that chap entering the corporate world.  ABG contributes in every phase to instill this confidence and make the society a better place to live in. ABG with its vision to lead the nation towards modern India has instilled this confidence in me using its different products across my lifestyle(Pantaloons, Forever21 etc), my house (UltraTech cement) and my networks(Idea Cellular). ABG ages with this nation, building this trust and confidence in all.
