FRIENDS: The chocolate chips in the salad bowl of life.
SIBM- Pune, one of the best B-schools in India being situated at the hill top in Lavale can make every person fall in love with the scenic beauty it possesses. It has one of the best academic structure where the focus is equally on the theory as well as practical application of what we learn. But, the location and academics are not the only factors that make SIBM-Pune the brand it is, it is the PEOPLE.
Yes, the people that make my campus unique. We at SIBM have all kinds of people be it from science background or commerce, people having work- ex or freshers, the ones who are from India and then people from different countries like Mauritius, Nepal, Ghana and the cherry on the top of the cake is that SIBM is not the only college here on the hill top, we have people from other colleges like SITM, SIMC,SSBF, SSSS etc.
The best thing about this campus is that it makes you feel at home in such a beautiful way that you won't even notice how easily you fall in love with the place. The schedule we have is so rigorous and yet we learn to enjoy the sleep deprived lives. The college and every event of it is
handled by the students only and this is the thing about SIBM that it actually imparts the managerial skills in the students right from the beginning. I'd sum it all in few lines as:
"One Saturday I was there missing my family, the next Saturday I found one here. In between all those early morning classes and late night tea talks there lies a place to find peace and the friends who became home. Enough time to discover the photographer in you and capturing indefinite amount of memories. Somehow in a month only I met the constants to deal with all the variables these two years will be throwing and I call them the mad #tuckrofiers, the crazy bunch of people called friends."
Which ABG company I'd like to work with:
I would love to work with Idea cellular. It has been in news since long that Idea and Vodafone will merge by 2019 which in itself will be the largest merger in the Indian telecom industry. The new opportunities bring with them the new set of challenges as well. And I believe one of the major challenges will be to manage the workforce, eliminating redundant roles, creating new roles, policy development and everything that comes under the umbrella of Human resource management. Being an HR student, I'd any day prefer to work in such a place that will make me challenge my own learning and knowledge and no place can be better than this.
