How I overcame stammering problem in my Life?
As a young Kid, I used to stammer a lot. I find it challenging to speak long sentences without stuttering. This made me underconfident and self-apprehensive about my future. As I reached my Xth standard, I decided to work upon my problem. I approached my school teachers and told them about my problem. I was encouraged by them to read English stories and classroom chapter aloud in front of my batch. This helped little. Even though some students used to laugh at me, I never lost my nerve and went on doing what I thought benefitted me.
Soon, I realised that I could boost my language proficiency by speaking on a public platform. But nobody would offer me a chance to take part in competitive debates and speeches. At the same time, I realize that I was not alone. There were many in the same boat who shivered when ask to speak to an audience. I talked informally to such students and prepared a list of them. I, then pitched to our Class Representative that we can form a Public Speaking Group where students can read daily news in front of the class assembly.
This proved to be a win-win situation. A platform to speak in Public was born, and news could be disseminated daily. This helped a lot for students like me who had a fear of Public Speaking.
Now, I can speak eloquently. Thanks to a small initiative taken then
