Aditya Birla Group has played a very important role in my life. The group has been engaged in diverse areas ranging from fashion & retail and telecom sectors to the infrastructure sector and financial services. Some of the major fashion and retail brands of the group involve Louis Phillipe, Van Heusen, Peter England, Pantaloons, Peter England among various others. The other brands of the company involve Ultratech Cement, which is the world leader in cement, Birla Sun Life Insurance and Bhim App. From the home that I live in to the clothes that I wear, the group has played an irreplaceable role in my life. There have been a lot of challenges that I’ve had to face in order to reach where I have reached today. I wouldn’t say that my list of ambitions has exhausted after getting admission into the MBA full time programme in the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. However, in order to become successful, one has to face multiple challenges. I have studied in a government aided school. It wasn’t as much of a challenge as it was a learning experience. I studied in Kerala School, R.K. Puram although I am not a South Indian myself. While I was there, I learnt a lot about life and myself. I tried to push my limits with the given opportunities and as a result I got admission into Shri Ram College of Commerce. There was no way to get admission into my dream college, SRCC, other than determination, hard work and perseverance. Transitioning from school to college was quite tough for me. It meant a lot more of hard work, time management and networking, all of which are still and will always be important for me. I interacted with some of the best minds of the country while pursuing my bachelor’s degree, as a result of which I was able to open up and learn a lot from them. I have been blessed with a supporting family and a great set of friends that have kept me calm during my struggles. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve anything without their support.
