The Indian Institute of Management Rohtak launched its
‘Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management’ (ePGDM) for working executives through the Interactive Online Learning Platform (IOL) of ‘Hughes Global Education India Ltd.’ on March 23. The programme has been designed for experienced executives, entrepreneurs and professionals, who desire to enhance their managerial knowledge and skills through formal management education.
The Programme, sessions for which are
scheduled to commence from the third week of June 2015, is uniquely structured to provide high quality management education to these working professionals with minimal disruptions at their work place as well as to ensure high standards and rigour expected from the brand IIM for its Post Graduate Programmes. The executive Post Graduate Programme of IIM Rohtak will provide such executives an opportunity to get a formal management qualification of a premier brand of India with a state of the art knowledge acquisition - either a 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma or a 1-year Post-Graduate Certificate as per their preference or specialisations in specific subject areas.
The unique Hughes Interactive Onsite Learning Platform, offered by HGEIL provides a live, interactive capability where participants in any part of the country can listen and discuss questions directly with faculty members, cutting across geographical constraints.
Speaking on the day of the launch, Prof. P Rameshan, Director, IIM Rohtak said, “With the launch of our first Interactive Distance Learning Programme, the ePGDM, we have taken another significant step towards our goal of being a global learning centre. The Hughes interactive onsite platform gives us the technological support in reaching out to students at far-off locations so as to benefit from the academic prowess of IIM Rohtak.”
The primary mission of IIM Rohtak is to develop leader managers with a sense of excellence and strong social commitment. Yet, the broader institutional mission of IIM Rohtak is to create knowledge through research and to disseminate knowledge through quality publications, management education involving classroom delivery and through problem-solving support to industry. The start of the ePGDM is a natural step forward for IIM Rohtak in fulfilling its mission.
