Life has always been a rollercoaster of emotions for me.  It has had its ups and downs, the good and the bad, the weak and the wise moments. But one thing I never expected for it to be, was to be unexpected. I always thought I had things under control and I knew what I wanted. An articulate and measured life seemed so simple. But if it were so simple, what is the point? Here begins my story of jumps and pitfalls and emotions and cold moments. As a kid, I was way too fascinated by technology and its likes. I was not the regular teen who liked cars, bikes and all that mainstream jazz. You would rather find me sitting in my room on my computer trying to get creative in my sandbox multiplayer games.  I used to make videos of these games and upload it to youtube. This was fun at first but then it started affecting my academics and this is where the trouble came in. It was hard to explain to my relatively old fashioned parents but they somewhat understood- but that too had an upper limit. At one point this freedom was taken away from me in the name of Academics and my future. I tried to deal with it in multiple ways but nothing seemed to be working. After a lot of internal studying and self-reflection, I came up with a plan to balance both aspects of my life: the measurable and the one which made you feel alive.  One thing leads to another and I was making money through doing what I loved- making gaming videos. The first cheque from Google was one of the proudest moments of my life and that is when I realized that there is a fine line between what you love and how you choose to monetize it for stability. I decided to keep my treasured memories on the happier side, and deviated from that path to avoid making the monetary aspect ruin what I loved. It has proved to be a great decision and has taught me that there are a lot of grey areas in life, but that is the essence of it. The trick is to strive to find perfect balance but also keeping in mind that sometimes there is a heavier side to the see-saw and that is what makes the entire process fun in the first place.
