Part A – Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life

Pantaloons Fashion & Retail, Aditya Birla Capital, Birla Carbon (carbon black), Aditya Birla Chemicals (chemicals), Aditya Birla Insulators (insulators), Essel Mining (mining) amongst many other diversified sectors.
Aditya Birla Group has been big in people’s lives in many ways. For me, it has a long association since the year 2013. I entering to city of Mumbai from a small town of Maharashtra, wanted to go out shopping in the city of Mumbai. After trying different places, I along with my friends went to Pantaloons’ store in R city mall at Ghatkopar. I explored the apparel and clothing and had a great shopping experience. At pantaloons, they just don’t sell the cloth but also the experience of shopping at one of the biggest fashion market leader.
And since that time, pantaloons have always been my first choice for shopping destinations. While I was getting ready with all the clothing required for B school, I was at Pantaloon store at the billing counter, looking around and admiring the brand Aditya Birla Group. I was wondering this might be the beginning of the journey which may end under the same banner, but instead of a shopping mall, it could just be the headquarter office of the group at Worli.
Part B – How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
Life, which happens to everyone in their own ways, is a unique story to tell. The meaning of life to any of us is as different as everyone is. Some have the natural charisma to be optimistic and take the challenges on their way. They manage to take any negative feedback, back pulling, and stay focused on their goal. Whereas, some fail to ignore what
char log is saying and are very cautious about what people think about them. Coming from the middle-class family, the general narrative was always
log kya kahenge, and It got imbibed in me without realizing that it was happening to me. The challenge to not think about what people have to say, stay focused on what I want to do. As life was happening to me. For me too, life has been a challenge, yes, but it also came with support from some amazing people who were always there to help me overcome the challenges.
Throughout the course of my academic life as well as professional life, I came across many such people who tried to prove that I was not as good as them, a constant attempt to pull me down is what they used to try. Even though many of them were more experienced than me but for many of them they lacked empathy as they did not have much substance in themselves. I used to feel that I was getting affected by their behavior.
I am really grateful to the few of the most amazing people in my life, without whom the journey would not have been possible so far. Going forward, as the two years of MBA begins, it is going to be a time when I will be tested and I feel confident to overcome my challenges and come out with a happy face and satisfaction.
