A tactic of converting threats into opportunities made managers special. They have the power to magnify everything they get. You give them problem, they will give you strategies. You give them support they will give you success, and if you give them challenges than they will turn a record of selling numerous LG products specifically Air conditioners in 3 months. Well, that’s me a future manager, Richa Vorafrom CMB2Y2 ofUniversal Business School. I believe that like locks each and every problem has it’s key. This mindset of has been put to test during the internship in LG Electronics. The tenure was for 3 months but the enriching experience was for life- time. I want you to know that I truly appreciate the prodigious opportunity I was given to learn and grow as a professional. LG Electronics was one of the dream company, I wished to intern at Finally the time arrives when I had to sit for the interview. I had used only one mantra and that is, an aim to score points in every answer. Starting for my preparation from the history of the company to job role to strategies I was all clear about my vision and mission. I was so confident it’s because I knew that there is no second chance to make the first impression. Yes, I was myself in the interview and was not even afraid to show my enthusiasm for the internship.  During my tenure, I was exposed to heterogeneous departments of the company dealing and working with who made me feel that my career ahead would be a walk in the park. An internship in this unit qualifies you to personally and professionally handle your career on national and international basis. This internship has provided me with hands on, practical experiences that are essential in taking the lessons that I have earned in the classroom and applying them to real world situations. Broadly I used the Product Concept, Societal marketing concept and most importantly understanding customer behavior concept and 9 building blocks. The reciprocity of culture, language and thought process is what makes the experience even more beguiling. It has been a captivating journey to get to know the global marketing system through research and evaluation projects. Every second of stress, anxiety and every little thing I had to work out to get here was worth. It has been a spectacular voyage to be able find out so much about marketing and sales while working as an intern in LG. The thing that I have valued most about my internship at LG is an amiable and supportive work environment. It is the people of this organization that have made this journey of mine so amazing. My colleagues warmly welcomed me into the team and taught me about the tools and methods of marketing with which I was unfamiliar. They have seamlessly guided me through the process while helping me to strengthen my skills. The close mentoring and assistance from them is the zenith of my experience. This internship has helped me to know the daily chores of a business. My task included understanding of customer behavior. Not only did the events let me apply my knowledge in product, it also gave me firsthand encounter of dealing with customers. As I worked in sales department I became well acquainted with sales department I became acquainted with customer, but by no means my activities were limited to this. I was able to visit the market and through regular meetings with the customers I gained proper insight of market condition through which I could analyze some important theories about the supply & demand of our products. Also the feedback from them gave me a better and unambiguous understanding of the customer needs. I was able to garner a wealth of knowledge relating to business, consumer behavior and customer satisfaction. “This internship has also taught me how to attune (adapt) to sudden changes in the workplace. I had to learn to be ready for that big story to come in, whatever it may be”. There were certain challenges that had always put me on toes during my internship, but certainly they were blessing in disguise, teaching me important attributes of the business world. The provocation came more on the customer front. To convince a loyal customer of another brand to shift to LG brand sometimes felt totally out of my depth. But through well – developed and day –to- day planned strategies I could pass through this vise. Also, the tools and planning that I acquired to grab the customers helped me to strengthen my knowledge about the competitive market. Through a well - developed research about the competitive products in the market I could know the pros and cons of our product and could make successful deliveries at important business meetings. Through this internship I know now “There are no substitutes for real world experiences”. For me building a good customer experience doesn’t happen by accident. I happen by design. Each customer, each challenge each day forced me to apply different marketing strategies and concepts. For instance, my encounter with my first customer made me apply the technique of selling the product after listening their desire and needs.  This has acted as a great supplement to the topics I was learning in my classes. I know now the “real world skills” to thrive in the “real market” only because of this internship. “When you make associations through internship, it may lead back to a full-time opportunity”. Also during this tenure, I was more than an intern. I was an active part of the team.” I had the leisure of testing water in multiple facts of the business world and get an understanding for what best suited my skill set and turn that into a career. It has not just been a rewarding, but a pioneering experience also. For it has allowed me to develop strong traits like work ethics, honest mentality and a desire to succeed. I could enhance skills such as multi – tasking, communicating, learning to deal with diversity and dealing with different deadlines as important skills and attributesIt is a small taste of the real world. It helped reinforce my knowledge of responsibility, focus, drive and ambition. I had to be responsible for people’s money, getting to work on time, fulfilling my word and completing all the tasks that I was assigned. The only way to gain experience and move up in the corporate world is to be driven, focused and to have a will to never give up. People noticed my willingness to help in any department at any time. It was an invaluable tool to help me figure out what I want to do."Live demos, studding competitors, approaching customers, and relating the features to real life scenarios are some of my key strategies that I used at the time of selling the product. Hence, my ultimate motive was to sell best product not the just product. "Open communication was one of the strongest and most apparent skills that I adopted during my internship. Without open communication between everyone in an office, I don’t see how any work can be done."I gained an in-depth understanding of the culture and dedication. This internship also gave me an exposure to numerous business tools that CEO’s use together to maintain a successful operation. I learned many aspects of business that can’t be taught, and this internship also forced me to become very comfortable giving technical presentations to large groups of people. The internship taught me exactly all of the required skills and tasks needed to have a career in my field. So to say the least I do believe that the internship completely met my career goals and exceeded my expectations of what great value it would bring to me. More than anything, though, I have learned through my internship the value of hard work and how to work as a team with other people. Everyone must do their part and work as a team to meet monthly and yearly goals. Just being able to see how a business works and what really goes on beyond what you see on the surface has been an experience I can take with me. Having this internship has been a great lesson inhow to cope with real problems and situations. I now feel more prepared to obtain my goals and have the career I have always wanted.  During this time, I was presented with ample opportunities to use my academic skillset. It gave me the leisure to build an entirely different perspective towards business. Not just profit maximisation or customer satisfaction, but also, I could know how business helps to build your social character. The pre – eminent lesson I learnt in my direct sales role was the value of a positive attitude and optimism. It is essential to pick yourself up and continue moving forward when things get tough. Running a company inevitably has challenges on a day- to- day basis, this mentality has helped me bounce back when challenges arise. Moreover, it helped me in networking and meeting interesting people in and around my work area. Most importantly this internship has given me a better outlook of how I would want to pursue my career. Lastly one of the greatest benefits I got through this internship is about myself that I enjoy doing what i have bee studying for. Like a good hunter knows his prey inside out, so a good leader is a one who knows every inch of its department. I will not be the best one until I know how my department works and things behave changing markets pattern. This quality in me was cultivated by my mentor Mr. Ashutosh Agarwal who, proves to be a great leader as he tackles the problems along with his team does give them the skill to be a better version of themselves. Yes, he even allowed me to make mistakes because he believed that thee best way to learn is to make mistakes. Mr. Agarwal has not only taught me how to up my game but also made me an Ace.
