India is a country that always has a rich heritage and moral values. When we talk about the Aditya Birla group I feel that ABG is the true reflection of Indian Cultural and moral values. ABG has spread its tentacles in diverse sectors and their products are as diverse as Indian Subcontinent. Established in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla the group has stood by their values for more than 162 years.
Aditya Birla Group products and services touched the lives of millions of Indians daily. Everyone in Indian society gets influenced and has values added to their lives directly or indirectly by ABG. For example, 100000 metric tons of UltraTech Cement went into the construction of Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli Sealink and this sea link helped the Mumbaikers in resolving traffic issues by reducing travel time between Bandra and Worli. A huge share of the copper requirement for Indian railways, which runs more than 12000 trains daily, is fulfilled by ABG. These two are just mere examples of how ABG is adding value to Indian society through its products and services. I personally being a tiny part of this society ABG has a huge influence in my life even it is in an indirect way.
Personally, I have a close connection with Aditya Birla Group products and services. Recently I and my family have built a new home. The Ultratech cement, a quality product from Aditya Birla Group, has been an integral part and ingredient in the construction of our home. So ABG has helped us lay a strong foundation for our home and also realize our dream. Aditya Birla capital has taught me the importance of financial independence and smarter money management. Then I have started investing in Mutual Funds and invested some of my savings in “Aditya Birla SL Tax Relief '96 (G)”. ABG telecom is the bridge between me and my family. On an individual level, in these ways, ABG has the largest involvement in my life
How I overcame challenges in life to achieve my ambitions
The first significant challenge I faced was to leave my home and go to a residential school. This happened when I was just 11 years of age. I got into one of the most prestigious schools in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. I felt lonely and homesick after I joined the school. Slowly as time passed by I got used to the new environment. The school, in turn, played a crucial role in building my personality holistically by introducing me to the competitive world at a young age. During my school days, I have participated in a lot of sports events which inculcated a sense of competition in me and also helped me deal with success and failure with a positive spirit
The other challenge I faced was during the Infosys training when I was introduced to programming languages and IT technologies. The programming languages are quite new to me and learning them used to be a great challenge to me. Instead of budging under pressure, I concentrated on my learnings in my training period and worked hard. This effort has reaped me rewards and got awarded with a certificate of appreciation for immense contribution during the project.
In both situations, I found out that being adaptable is useful in dealing with tough situations. Usually, I like to follow the mantra which is inspiration from Darwin theory that "it is not the strongest or the wisest of the species that survives but the most adaptable". I would like to face any kind of challenges in my life by applying this mantra
