Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is the third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate having a legacy of 162 years. It is a company which is Indian in their values and global in their outlook. They have businesses that span across diverse domains like metals, financial services, fashion, telecommunication and are constantly venturing into new businesses and exploring new technologies. Hence it is natural that Aditya Birla Group is bound to be a part of your life in some way or the other.
My first association with ABG was during my school days. My mother used to wrap food using Freshwrapp and give to me and my father to ensure that the food we consumed remained fresh till the time we eat it. I used to look forward to my school vacations so that I could go to my native place in Kerala. Railways was our favourite mode of travel. Large amounts of copper and copper alloys are used for overhead electrification, signalling systems, switchgear, brake systems etc and this is provided to the Railways by Birla Copper. ABG was responsible for us having no inconvenience during our journeys and making some good memories. Whenever I decide to buy new shirt or jeans, Pantaloon is the store I go to. Peter England, Louis Philippe, Allen Solly are some of the brands which makes me look more professional and confident in my MBA life. When I first ventured into stock market trading, I knew I had to buy shares of some company which I could trust, and that happened to be the shares of Grasim Industries. It was one of the first companies in which I made a reasonable profit. It is also necessary to save up and invest for a secured future, which is why my father bought insurance from Birla Sun Life Insurance for me. Coming from Mumbai, I enjoy travelling through Bandra-Worli sea link, an architectural beauty which is constructed using UltraTech Cement.
It is now that I realise that ABG has been a big part of me throughout my life and will continue to play an even bigger part in the future.
