Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?

The Aditya Birla Group has demonstrated capabilities of creating large-scale profitable businesses from scratch as well as building the leadership position in the businesses acquired inorganically. The Group has a vast experience in promoting and growing consumer-facing businesses and brands in the apparel, as well as non-apparel sectors and in the process, have gained significant consumer insights.

Brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Idea Cellular, Birla Sun Life Insurance and Birla Sun Life Asset Management are among the leaders in their respective categories. Among the most trusted business houses in India, Aditya Birla Group is well known for its corporate governance and financial management.

The one such wing of ABG which I would like to work for is Hindalco Industries Limited. Yes, it is the largest producer of primary Aluminum across India and Asia. It is also the leading producer of Copper too. It serves as the nucleus of the Aditya Birla Group. Created in 1958, Hindalco opened an aluminum plant in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India in 1962. The establishment of the plant coincided with that of Rihand Dam in Renukoot. The combination brought several other industries to the area and as a result, it became a hub for industries in the coming years.

Seeing Hindalco grow all through my childhood, it was a pioneer of development for thousands of people living around it. The work culture is as good as any corporate you see around. The workers and the executives work for hand in hand and the plant is building on its strengths since the day of inception.
