I found the VA-RC section to be tough.
Even LRDI was moderate-tough
QA was easier than last year

Yes, Most of the test takers have the same opinion. You can input your correct/incorrect attempts and check your predicted percentile here - https://bit.ly/2KQnh5E All the best!

Here's my take on CAT 2019 1st slot exam -

1. VA-RC: RCs were very difficult to read and understand. Even the options were tricky. The section was difficult.

2. LR-DI: I find LR-DI to be my strength. I could solve 4-5 sets.

3. QA: Very difficult.

Hey, If you have correctly solve 4-5 sets in the DILR section, you're bound to cross the 99th percentile in DILR. To get an idea of the percentile you can expect, check our CAT Percentile Predictor here - https://bit.ly/2KQnh5E All the best!

Just returned home. Here's my take on the exam -

VARC:  Moderate to Tough
LRDI: Moderate (similar to CAT 18)
Quants: Easy - Moderate (easier than CAT 18, tougher than CAT 17)

CAT2019 Slot 1 Analysis:

1. The overall difficulty level of VA RC of CAT 2019 was difficult compared to CAT 2018
2. VA - Parajumbles, Out of context sentence,  Summary

I think 22+ attempts with more than 80% accuracy will fetch  97-99%ile.

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

1. 4 sets were manageable.
2. LRDI of CAT 2019 was slightly tougher compared to CAT 2018

16+ attempts with 80% accuracy will fetch 97%ile+

Quantitative Aptitude

1. Very lengthy -  calculation intensive.
2. QA of CAT 2019 was tougher than CAT 2018
3. The section had the majority of questions from Arithmetic, Modern Math & Geometry.

18-21 attempts with more than 80% accuracy will fetch 97-99%ile.

Overall attempt of 65 questions with good accuracy should be good enough to fetch 99%ile+.

I attempted about 65 questions. Based on my past mocks, I expect I will have about 52 correct answers (+156) and about 9 out of 13 wrong answers to carry negatives (-9). Giving me a score of 147.

Given CL's early prediction, I expect to not make 99%ile this CAT. What should I do now?
