Does it make sense to take a gap year right after BCom to prepare for CAT 2019?
As a BCom fresher, aiming to get into one of the top 5 BSchools in India, taking the CAT for the second time in 2019 (CAT '18 : 97.05%ile) and aiming for 99.5%ile+ in 2019, does it make sense for me to study for CAT full-time along with axillary courses like SQL, Python etc. without taking up any job or should I still look for a job and study simultaneously, given that I intend to join a BSchool at the earliest?
Ideally one shouldn't be only preparing for CAT. However, if you can justify how you spent your free time when you weren't working apart from studying then it should be fine. Many people have done it successfully. But it isn't ideal.
