I joined a tier 2 bschool after scoring 85 percentile in cat 2018. Now, I have realised that I have made a mistake since there aren't many opportunities here and placements scenario is even worse. For such a high fees, ROI is the worst.

The deadline for cat is also over now, it's too late.

I have lost my interest in college, studies and fantasize about life at IIMs only. I have started getting depressed & I feel like my whole life is wasted now.

Please help me out? Should I drop out and prepare for cat 2020?

Firstly, please don't bother yourself so much. I would not recommend dropping and aiming for CAT 2020! It would be a big gamble and you will end up wasting a few years of your life. It is not that you can't get a good career from your exisiting college. You just have to make the best use of it. Don't see what the college is not provising you, don't see what your peer group is doing - just focus on your goals. Here are few things that you can do to make the most out of your BSchool which will certainly help you to climb up the corporate ladder afterwards.

  1. Take up courses online on Udemy, Coursera and Konversations depending on your specialisation. If you are interested in marketing, I would highly recommend Kraftshala IndustryCreds Certification.
  2. You can start looking for live projects/short internships over LinkedIn, Internshala which can help enhance your CV to a great extent.
  3. Participate in a lot of competitions and be pro-active in managing events at your BSchool. It will help you in multiple ways.
  4. Master presentations, excel and Tablo skills which will help you in your summer internship and in your final placements.

    Hope this helps.
