I'm from a AAA+ Engg Clg. Will I be picked for IIM ABC,with good score&work ex?
It is very difficult to tell with only the kind of information you shared. But yes, a graduate from an AAA+ institute will be preferred over candidates from institutes with a lower rank.
The whole selection process is designed in such a way as to test the person you are in an all-round manner. And there’s different weightage to each of the different criteria with CAT score and Personal Interview having the most weightage in the overall selection. However, two three things that stand out as the crucial factors in getting a call from ABC are your past academics, quality of work experience and profile, and the CAT score. A CAT score upwards of 99.4 percentile(it’s a must if you are a General candidate) will land you a call at least from one of ABC on most days.
All the best!

The fact of the matter is that it does not just matter who you are. It also matters who you were when it comes to MBA. 10th, 12th and graduation marks play a role as well as the nature of workex. And in almost all top tier colleges, there is a huge focus on WAT, GD and PI skills. Unless you have sorted out the previous aspects of your profile, a good score can only take you so far.
