Manchester City vs Liverpool – Who Will Win This Title Deciding Match?
Liverpool, who began November with a much lower goal difference than that of Man City, have now surpassed them in that aspect and now sit on top of the table, at a 7 point gap from City. They have arguably the best defensive line in the league and have the 3rd highest scorer in the league, Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp’s purchase of Brazillian goalkeeper Alisson has seen the GK transform into a talisman for the Reds, and he has the highest number of clean sheets this season.
Manchester City are defending champions, and have arguably the most skilled players in the league, along with one of the most successful managers in football history. Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane, and star player Raheem Sterling are in top form. However, defensively, City have shown signs of weakness, with lack of coordination between the back four. The goalkeeper Ederson also takes unnecessary risks and concedes penalties and goals.
If Manchester City lose this fixture, their title dreams may be severely dented by the goal-hungry Tottenham side, who are placed above City in the table.
Tactically, who is most likely to win? Will Manchester City’s desperation bring out the best in their players (as was seen in their match against Napoli in the 2018/19 season), or will Klopp’s side seriously hurt City tonight?
