I'm working in one of service based mnc as business analyst with 1.5 yr work ex as of may and currently on bench and can study full time for cat, my grades are - 9.3/89/68 GEF
recent mock scores - 35/10/50 And 28/10/45
The thought of not clearing sectional cutoffs is eating me up and can you please throw some light on what colleges do I have a best shot of and which are the ones out of my way.
Your acads coupled with your workex make a decent profile. You should aim to score high. From your mock scores, I can understand that you need to work a lot on your VARC and DILR. For VARC, I would suggest you to practice through IMS RC100 and for DILR past year mocks and CAT papers. Also, you should aim for colleges like MDI G and XLRI IIFT apart from IIMs
You need to identify your weak areas and start working on them religiously. For LRDI, you can watch Elitesgrid videos on Yotube. For VARC, practice more and try reading newspapers to build up your concentration.
You have a good academic profile and you will have very good chances of shortlists. Don't think about not clearing sectionals from now on! It's too early. Nobody knows what will happen on the D-day. Focus on each of the sections with a different strategy. Take as many sectional tests as possible as that will help you to build a strategy and improve your scores.
Hey, so you need to analyse the mocks thoroughly and identify the topics where you have faletered and then go back to basics and brush them up
Also, having said that, you could also look at other exams which do not take past acads into consideration. Here is a consolidated list:
