Profile requirements for Ivy league colleges in US, UK & Asia?
I want to join an Ivy League institute within the next 2 years, but I am also appearing for CAT ’19 and will be open to joining IIMs and other tier-1 non-IIMs (if they take me, that is). I just wanted some clarity on what will be the best options for me in the next year or two.
My profile is:
10th – 86%
12th – 89%
Graduation – 72% (Non-engineer)
Work experience – 14 months
I have a few queries:
A) What is the average work experience required to apply to Booth, Haas, Yale, Said, Kellogg, Wharton, Cornell, Sloan, Dartmouth, LBS, Columbia and INSEAD? What will be my chances of getting an Ivy league admit with 2-3 years of work experience? What should be the ideal amount of work experience?
B) It is my understanding that the work experience required to get into a Masters in Management programme is much lesser as compared to a full-fledged 21-24 month MBA programme abroad. What is the difference between MiM and MBA in terms of compensation and profiles offered? Which is better in the long run?
C) Apart from the B-schools mentioned in point (A), which are the best business schools to join that have a good ROI and are also highly reputed, in the US, UK and Asia?
D) Is ISB worth joining? Since I will not be eligible for EEO, what is the profile I must have before applying to ISB’s regular PGP programme?
E) And finally, what GRE scores should I be targeting to get into top MBA institutes abroad?
