Firstly, I would like to tell you that it's never too late and you should start your CAT preparation immediately in a full-fledged manner. Coming to your academic grades, they are not too bad and can get you a good BSchool for sure if your CAT percentile is good enough. You cannot change the past but you can certainly work for the future.

Now, let's do a reality check. There are so many things that are random and not in your control. Your performance on the D-Day, calls that you get from BSchools, interview panel, GD topic, etc. - none of these are in your control. All you can do is prepare and practice hard. Be consistent in your preparation and take as many mocks as possible to recognize your weakness and strengths.

So, I would strongly suggest you to not settle for some particular BSchools in your mind and aim for the top 10 or top 20. For that, you must take all the important entrance exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, TISSNET (if interested in those specializations), MICA (again, if interested in advertising). Start figuring out gradually which field you would like to opt.

Again, you can get your dream BSchool if you keep working hard consistently but also, don't ignore the other BSchools.

Hope this helps! If you have any further question, you can drop a reply and I will try to clear your doubts further.
