What is the fastest way to improve VA-RC scores?
My Va-rc scores are suffering, and bringing my entire percentile down. I don't know what to do. How do I improve?
The best way to improve your VA-RC scores is to practice atleast 3 long passages per day. If you’re not good at para-jumbles and sentence re-ordering, do not answer those questions as they will eat up your time. Answer all the questions which do not have negative marking; this will compensate for not being able to answer other questions like- summary.
But, you HAVE to be good at RC. You still have a lot of time at hand. Practice daily and you’ll be good to go. :)
In order to improve fast - you need to ensure that you do two things right - identify your areas of weaknesses in VA RC section, revisit the fundamentals of the topics in which you are committing more mistakes, this will ony be possible when you analyse the mock tests thoroughly. By analysing the mock CATs, you will be able to not only identify areas which require improvement but also areas which are strong and you have good accuracy with them. Try to capitalise upon your areas of strength and work hard on areas of weakness. If the problem persists with a particular topic, you may even take a call to skip the questions and save time but in that case you need to be very careful, do not outright skip a question, sometimes the paper has very easy questions from areas which are perceived as diffcult by the studnets so you must give all questions at least a sincere thought before attempting or skipping it.
The articles given below will be very helpful for you in implementing all of the above suggestions.
Hope it helps. All the best!!
