Your profile looks good. Considering your category and your undergraduate stream, to get calls from tier I institutes you need to secure at least 96 percentile in CAT. Since there is no reservation in XLRI, try getting at least 98 percentile to stand a chance of getting a call.

You can also join an organization, gain a considerable amount of work experience and then write CAT. All the top B-Schools in the country including the IIMs gives a good amount of weightage to the quality and the amount of work-ex towards the preparation of the interviewee’s/final merit list.

All the best!

Hi Anon,
I think Tier-1 B-schools will be possible for you at around 95-96 percentile, considering your excellent profile and non-general quota. However, to be on the safer side, aim for the percentiles mentioned by B-school students in their answers.
All the best.

Hello Anon,
By Tier-I B-School, I assume that you mean IIM BLACKI, FMS and XLRI.
98.5%ile+ in CAT and 97+ in XAT should be a safe bet according to your profile.
