Work-life Balance or Good Pay?
Would you be willing to sacrifice some alone time/family time for a huge paycheque?
Or would you be willing to forego that for a significant reduction in pay?
Which will be better in the long run?
The answer to this subjective question is ought to be a subjective one. It depends on an individual and the background he/she is coming from. People have achieved various feats at work or at home. But, a very few could say that they have done so at both.
Personally, I don’t think I would be able to forego my friends-family-alone time for a hefty pay check every month. As lucrative the pay check or perks maybe, if I am unable to enjoy that accomplished feeling with my loved ones, then none of those would matter. Now, I am not saying a good pay check doesn’t attracts me. Money is a means to happiness and when that happiness index has hit that satisfactory mark, I will definitely choose work-life balance over that huge paycheck.
In a nutshell, work-life balance is more important to me and I will value the paycheck only till the point where it doesn’t endangers this balance.
