MICA Announces New Leadership Structure
MICA, India’s Premier Institute of Strategic Marketing and Communication, announced a new leadership structure today. Mr. Madhukar Kamath, Chairperson of the MICA Governing Council, has taken over as the President of MICA. He will work closely with Dr. Preeti Shroff, Academic Dean, MICA.
Dr. Nagesh Rao has stepped down as the MICA President and Director to take on an International assignment. The MICA Governing Council would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Rao for leading the Institute honourably over the past 4 years.
The Governing Council of MICA has played a key role in shaping the growth of the institute and ensuring that MICA maintains its unique identity as an Institute of higher learning in India. Mr. Madhukar Kamath has been the Chairperson of the Governing Council for more than a decade now. Over the past two years, the Governing Council has been fortified with additional C-Suite Leaders from diverse fields and has also consciously increased its engagement with key stakeholders at MICA – the students, faculty and staff.
The Governing Council unveiled a refreshed strategic positioning and an ambitious Vision for the institute in 2014. As a part of the plan to achieve this vision, MICA announced the new leadership structure.
Established in 1991, MICA is the first residential institute in the country and perhaps in the Asia-Pacific region, dedicated to creating Leadership in Strategic Marketing and Communication.
