My CMAT Story
Hi ! I hope you all are doing fine. I want to share my achievement in CMAT Feb-15.
I was an MBA aspirant the previous year, busy with preparations, fighting negativity, giving mocks and so on. But it really came as a pleasant surprise when I got AIR 6. My efforts finally paid off.
So now, back to those basics i.e. a little and sweet intro ! I am Shubhadeep Basak, an Electrical Engineer from Government College of Engineering Amravati, Maharashtra. I am a gold medalist. Singing, reading books and writing poems are my hobbies. I love multi-tasking ! This has been a factor for my all-round development.
Now, I jump to the preparation strategies that I followed for CMAT :
1) I made sure that I didn’t study a particular subject for more than 1-1.5 hours. I refreshed myself with some General Knowledge, took a walk and then used to study another topic.
2) For every topic, I gave section-wise tests. They made me realize my minor weaknesses in every chapter. I also took some mock tests and analyzed them thoroughly.
3) I had joined a coaching class. It is not a necessity but it really helps to speed up your preparation. I always used to clarify my doubts as soon as I could from the faculty members.
4) I had used T.I.M.E. material for everything.
Additional list of books and websites I used for my preparation:
i) Quantum CAT – Sarvesh K. Verma
ii) The Pearson Guide to Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation for CAT and other MBA Entrance Examinations – Nishit K. Sinha
iii) Six weeks to words of power-Wilfred Funk
iv)Material from www.careeranna.com for General Awareness
v) www.gkedge.com, cat.wordpandit.com, www.lofoya.com
I hope this helps. All the best !
