When it comes to mess food, most of us don’t have very good perception about it and especially if one is from engineering background. But here in IIM Kashipur, my perception on mess food took a hit, I didn’t expect the food to be of such good quality consistently without any hiccups. There will be plethora of options available in breakfast, lunch and dinner without any restriction on quantity. And one can even recommend some other options too, of his or her choice to the mess committee. Apart from this, the air- conditioned dining hall also serve the purpose of common meeting spot for the students from different hostel blocks during exams and group assignments.
On the top of all this, IIM Kashipur has some magnificent classrooms, equipped with dual projector with three sets of dual green boards whereas most B-Schools and IIMs, in general, have single projector classrooms with singular or dual green boards. In addition to this, IIM Kashipur has 13 Bloomberg terminal which is arguably one of the highest number of such terminal in a B-school in India. The library of IIM Kashipur is stocked with all the books and business magazine that a B-School student requires. Nights can arguably be long for a B-school student that’s why there is a canteen where one can visit even at the middle of the night to sate his/her hunger and have small breaks in between his/her hectic schedule.
But IIM Kashipur is not just about academics. The open amphitheater is one of the most happening spot in the campus. It is a place where vibrant cultural activities and celebration of fest take place and uplift the morale of the students. Infact, the amphitheater is the pulse of IIM Kashipur.
After two years, it is going to be really difficult to forget the memorable days spent here in the Redbrick campus of IIM Kashipur.
Which ABG company would one want to work in and why?
I would like to work in Aditya Birla Retail Limited as I am particularly interested in sales and marketing. I like the idea of a career that makes the difference to the lives of people and that’s why an FMCG role could be a good match to my value and ambitions. Apart from this, FMCG sector is one of the most challenging, dynamic and highly innovative industry. Working in Aditya Birla Retail Limited which is the fourth largest supermarket chain in the country, I would like to see myself working across various product segments, handling big brands and managing large distribution channels.
