In the social media universe, Brand Reputation issues could crop up at any moment and accelerate faster than you can respond. From Rishi Kapoor’s drunken tweet to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosions, scandals of different ranges pop up every now and then. ‘Think before you Tweet’ is the new ‘Look before you Leap’.

Brand Reputation may be damaged because of two types of issues – Competency Issues or Integrity Issues. For the former, the brand may be forgiven, but the latter is a delicate one to handle. Irrespective of the type of issue, consider this as gospel – It is CRITICAL to respond in a timely and appropriate manner. Because of the world’s hyper-connectedness, a brand could suffer an additional hit due to non-responsiveness. And remember,
