Stunning, Magnificent, Serene – XAHR

It was a Saturday afternoon and I was on my way to a movie when I got the confirmation mail from XUB, that I had converted HR. There was a sense of excitement that took over on all my emotions. To pursue MBA from XAHR was something I had always dreamt of.

A few days later, I was in our car, my parents driving me to the Xavier City, Bhubaneswar which was a 40 minutes ride from my home. Following the map, we reached this place, far away from the hustle of the city, surrounded with tree plantation all throughout, a huge entrance welcoming us to the magnificent campus of Xavier’s University. I gazed out of the window admiring the stunning architecture of the University along with the greenery around it complementing this magnificent institution in every way possible. The feeling was incredible, to realize that I am living my dream.

After completing certain formalities and a busy day of admission processes, exhausted, I returned to my hostel room. Days passed by, but it felt as if it was yesterday when we had joined this institution. Every single person I met with, be it my batchmates or my seniors, every day and everyone has been so welcoming. Yes, there were loads of assignments, batch-meets, classes but there wasn’t a day when we missed out on having fun, be it the cultural events, sports tournament or ice breaking session between seniors and juniors, every single day was amazing, and it continues to be so.

Our institution is overloaded with such enthusiastic and lively people who not only are setting a benchmark in academics but also engage themselves and encourage everyone else to participate in all kinds of extracurricular activity. For me, the uniqueness of my campus is its people, the students, the faculty and everyone who is part of this huge family. The culture of this University is reflected in everyone present here and those who have passed out of this University. Driven by the Jesuit philosophy and amazing people determined to be the best among all, XAHR will always be one of its kind.

Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?

Aditya Birla Group, a huge Indian multinational firm, having its business in every field be ranging from Cement to Fashion, to be a part of it is a dream. I would love to work for the Retail sector which is Aditya Birla Retail Limited. Having work experience in retail comes to my advantage and also the range of businesses within this sector including FMCG products, pharmacy, general merchandise and other daily use products is something one can relate. Retail has been a part of our life since ages and would continue to be so and would stay in demand and hence simple to connect to.
