Part B
Well, the journey to my undergraduate college, Nirma University was a roller coaster ride in itself. I tried out many colleges and their entrance examinations to test my luck and strategy to get the best for me. I will try to write the story from the beginning.
In class X, I got a good 10 CGPA which was obviously overwhelming for me. And as many students go through, I also had suggestions to go to Kota, the hub of IIT entrance but I genuinely denied all of those. My parents were very helpful in those conditions and I could decide that commerce would be the best for me. This has started my search for a good career in future. Commerce was always going to be my option no matter what. I come from a small city of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. So, arts was not prevalent in many schools and science, well, not so comfortable in it, the formulas, experiments, diagrams got better of me.
Then in XII, I was desperately wanting NOT to do a CA. Yes, in Bhilwara you either do a CA or do business, ‘do’ should be noticed well. I had made up my mind I would not join the flock of sheep going to pursuit CA so I chose to get a good percentage and hopefully join the DU. But, destiny had something different for me. I could only get 95.20 aggregate and 95.25 in best of four. There were not a slim chance of getting a good college in DU North Campus. But, it is said that what happens is for good and because I had got into Nirma with 100% scholarship I was determined to get good CAT score and hopefully secure admission in top B-Schools of the country.
Then, as destiny would have it, I got 94.88%ile in CAT in the first attempt, which is like an average score considering the scores required in the current times. I got an admission into IMT Ghaziabad which is one of the premier B-schools in the country.
Thus, conquering the toughest of times, I am here to enjoy this phase of my life and happy to face tougher challenges in future.
