This quote rightly signifies the crux of human life; without failure, you have failed in life. Coming from a tribe of Uttarakhand, I have seen the ups and downs of life. I was privileged enough to get a decent education, all thanks to my parents. From school to getting into premier undergraduate college, I overcame all the challenges of my life. But during my under-graduation, my mother suffered from Parkinson disease, due to which I had to make frequent trips to the hospital in my hometown and my college. It surely affected my academics, although I managed to perform well in my university exams, but I couldn’t convert any decent B-school. It took a toll in my life, and this failure taught me that you couldn’t get any success if you focus on one aspect and ignore the rest of them. It taught me how to manage time, show consistency, and how to balance your academics and personal life. I gave the second attempt to CAT exam and got calls from a few IIMs. Now, It was time to perform well in a personal interview. Like it is said, the first impression is the last impression, to make my impression everlasting I had to dress well, I went to a few “Brand” outlets but couldn’t get what I was looking, then I entered Van Heusen outlet, and it truly lived upto it's saying “personify style, attitude, luxury, and comfort”. Since most of the Brand forget to design shirts for a person of my physique, I went to Pantaloon because of its wide range of stocks, and to my surprise, I got many options to choose from and that too with perfect fitting, it was Richard Parker – in-house brand of ABG.
ABG not only taught Indians to wear clothes with pride and class, but they are also working towards building a better nation with its CSR activities. When you become a massive corporation like ABG, you get a chance and responsibility to create an impact on the world, and they never miss their chance to make a difference. They collaborate with several external agencies to share ideas, draw from each other's experiences, and ensure that efforts are not duplicated.
Your everyday business, small or big, you’ll get to interact with ABG in one way or another. When I was in Mumbai for my Interview, I saw the heart of Mumbai, Bandra-Worli Sealink, and you know what, 0.1 million mt of UltraTech Cement went into its construction, the tire of my cab which I took to reach railway station must have Birla carbon (The tire in every 2nd car in the world has Birla Carbon). Indian Railways which I used to travel back gets its large share of the copper requirement fulfilled by Birla Copper. Whenever I went to trekking, Idea network helped me to update my status. Even the smartphone in which we scroll our fingers 24*7 has a touch of ABG, Hindalco aluminium is used to make cover glass for smartphones.
