Step 1 - Screening And Shortlisting Candidates Based On CAT 2021 Performance
First, IIM Sirmaur will screen candidates based on the minimum overall and sectional cut-offs set by the institute. For the general category, IIM Sirmaur's CAT 2021 cut-off is at the 93rd percentile. More details are mentioned in the table below.
Step 2 - Shortlisting Candidates For Final Admission
After the personal interview round has concluded, candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on weighted composite scores. These scores are calculated by evaluating various parameters of a candidate's profile, their PI performance, and their CAT 2021 performance. In 2021, IIM Sirmaur has assigned 35 percent weight to a candidate's CAT 2021 performance, and 30 percent weight to a candidate's personal interview performance.

What Does IIM Sirmaur's Latest Selection Criteria Mean For You?
As is the selection criteria of most second and third generation IIMs, IIM Sirmaur relies heavily on candidates' CAT performance to judge them and accept them for the MBA program. In 2021, the 93rd percentile is the minimum you need to score to even have a chance of getting admitted at any of the CAP IIMs.
IIM Sirmaur's dependence on CAT scores to evaluate candidates reduced significantly after the personal interview round, where candidates are shortlisted based on other components.
