I would like to make a few additions to this Insurance -- If you are above 26 you are not always required to get insured. I did not take any insurance House Insurance -- If you are not provided a house by the partner university you might have to make your own arrangements. In that case you would have to take renters insurance. A student is advised to get renter's insurance from the bank where he/she opens an account. There is good news though. French government provides relief to students. If a student has long term visa and is below 26 years of age, he / she can apply for CAAF. The money which you get under CAAF varies a lot. If you are living in a studio apartment then the CAAF could be as mush as Euro 125.

Hi Debashree, We are working on an piece with complete scholarship details but for starters you need to learn the language of the country to put your case forward strongly. Scholarships for German colleges is a lot easier to get due to various alliances. Until last year, french scholarships were also available in plenty. However, the number has gone down. In general, it is difficult to get a scholarship to go the US. You can wait for more details later. Anyway applications won't start anywhere till November for sure. Regards, Team InsideIIM
