PART 1

A few years back:

Childhood days are the golden days of one’s life. It was one of the fine autumns of the year when my parents decided to build our own house. They discussed their plan with the contractor and the contractor shared the list of products that were required. There were sand, marbles, iron rods and other products, but while mentioning cement, he specifically told us that the cement should be no other than ‘Ultratech’. My dad asked the reason to which he responded- “It’s a brand that you can trust”. That was the first time, I was indirectly connected to the ‘Aditya Birla group’.

Time passed.

The technology was making its impact. Old-time was slowly transforming into new everything. Mobile phones started replacing old landlines. Mobile phones were nothing without their sim cards. And one of the mobile networks that made an impact on my life was Aditya Birla’s ‘idea’ with a simple tag line of ‘Ek idea jo badal de aapki duniya’. It was a powerful tagline that matched the real situation. And as it was expected, ideally made an impact in the lives of a part of the country’s population, and that impact is still going on.

Time passed.

I completed my schooling and intermediate. It was a time when I first went out of my home for higher studies. It was the time when I started buying the clothes of my own choice. Till then, I got my clothes purchased by my parents from a local shop in our small town. In colleges, I learned about the popular cloth brands and about the advantages that they contain in them. The first branded T-shirt I got from Pantaloons Bhopal was a collared Allen Solly T-shirt. That T-shirt is still with me after many years, and now I realize the importance of those Allen Solly and Peter England apparel.

Present:

It’s been many years now; Aditya Birla Group has made a great impact on my life directly and indirectly. Right now, when I look back, I find that the products and services that Aditya Birla group provided me and several others, was of the best and premium quality. Many a time, we don’t realize the importance of a few things which we continuously use. But, in the case of Aditya Birla Group, it impacted me in a way that its realization is the day in and day out.

PART 2:

Throughout my school life, I have been an average student. In college, I got a chance to look inside me which helped me discover the uniqueness that I possess. Workplace discovered the completely new qualities inside me which even I was unaware of. But it was the journey of my interaction with CAT and its preparation which made an impact on me, my family and several others. It was the journey of perseverance, hard work, and positivity that helped me discover that I am a self-motivated person, and I have a sound ability to motivate and inspire others.

After college, I started up a coaching business along with my childhood friend. There is nothing unique in it, many people start businesses and many people achieve success with it.

However, my journey with my coaching was not limited to teach the subjects. I used to take a seminar each weekend wherein I used to motivate the students and inspire them to dream big. I used to tell them stories of those great humans who played an important role in changing the world. With time, I realize that students have developed a feeling that nothing is impossible and they can achieve what they dreamt of despite the odds. Though my journey with the institute was not long and I handed over the coaching business to my partner, but I already made an impact on several students till then.

At my workplace, some people had the caliber to achieve big in life, but they could not dream, they contain in them the unknown fear, fear of failure, just being happy with what they have. My work was to show help them dream big, and I did the same every time I got the opportunity. There were 7-8 colleagues of mine, who were inspired and motivated to achieve their goals. And I am happy that I was able to motivate them.

I used to motivate people around me but that does not help when you yourself are working in a BPO and motivating people to dream big. And so, I was preparing for CAT from 2016. Unfortunately, I was unable to attempt CAT 2016, but I attempted CAT 2017, failed to get big calls, attempted CAT 2018 and finally was able to convert one of the premium B-schools of the nation VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur. With this achievement, the confidence of every single person who was motivated by my words was inspired by my story. And it was one of the great impacts that I made in the lives of those people.
