While IIT Dhanbad had a richer heritage than most IITs, it started as a Mining School for India in 1926 as the Indian School of Mines. However, an unquenchable thirst for knowledge drove the institution to explore diverse fields of study. Today, the college has become a sprawling academic haven, housing an impressive array of eighteen departments and an extensive offering of online courses. But it wasn't the grandeur of the institution that had drawn Samrat's attention; rather, it was the astounding return on investment (ROI) that beckoned him.
You see, IIT Dhanbad had developed an MBA Programme which only cost 4.5 lakh Rupees, which is relatively very cheap when compared with other colleges charging nearly 20 lakh Rupees. This financial accessibility transformed Dhanbad into a beacon of hope for students hailing from middle-class backgrounds, like Samrat.
As Samrat reflected on these myriad factors contributing to his burgeoning happiness, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. The future awaited him with open arms, and he knew that his journey toward personal and professional fulfillment had officially commenced. In the not-so-distant future, he would have to bid farewell to the familiar comforts of home and the warm embrace of friends and family, venturing into the unknown in pursuit of a brighter and more promising tomorrow.
