‘How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far’
The path of success is never a cakewalk. There are certain obstacles in the way of achieving what you set out for. However, with the three principles that I personally believe in, nothing is unconquerable. The principles that I believe in are – Discipline, Smart work, and Persistence.
I have never once let go off my principles, no matter how heart-rending the challenges are, either in the professional or personal space.
By discipline, I essentially mean following a certain code of behavior and never giving in to the temptation of taking a day off. Being disciplined helps me take more control of myself. It helps me get a clear head on what goals I want to achieve, what means are required to be established to achieve my goals and it helps me get better organized with the way required to achieve the goal. Having a structure in mind and being committed to the goal and disciplined when it comes to the means achieving the goal reduces the anxiety and stress associated with overcoming challenges.
Smart work is a refined version of Hard work. You may want to spend sleepless nights to get one report thoroughly right or you may want to get some good sound sleep and get a perfectly thorough report with constructive ideas and creative suggestions. Every path of success requires tremendous effort as nothing worthy of having come easy, however, if you blend in the right amount of smart work, you might not only achieve the goal but also attain efficiency.
Success comes with persistence. In the journey to attain the goal, there are times when you just want to give in to the obstacle that’s stopping you. But with the third principle that I believe in, you may fail in your first attempt, but if you’re not persistent enough, you may not want to get up from where you failed and learn the mistakes you made and rectify those errors. Being persistent helps me ‘Try and try till you succeed’ and it helps you face the challenges and helps you learn a lot from the mistakes you make.
