How I overcame the biggest challenge of life.
While I was working for my company, there was a client, who seems to be backing off from a very big and important deal for the company, which I was dealing in. Reasons appeared to be, the competitor was misleading the client against us by pointing errors in our solutions and equipment and making every possible attempt to win the deal.
I had to come up with a strong plan and strategy on an urgent basis to win the deal. This is where teamwork came into picture. I organized a late night meeting with my marketing and application team to discuss the situation and come up with a winning strategy, which would help me to convince the customer. The next morning I eventually cracked the deal and won against the competition.
Two very important lessons which I learned here were:
1. Teamwork-The battle was won, because of support and help from my team. When multiple ideas came together, I could merge them into a winning strategy.
2. Risk management-From that day onwards, I decided to have multiple back up plans in mind, while tackling or dealing with clients.
