The thing that fascinates me most about ABG is the age at which I’ll be earning my first salary, Aditya Birla founded Aditya Birla Group and started building his empire. It is said that the successful businessman and trader G.D Birla once had a vision from goddess Saraswati. In that vison the goddess Said to G.D. Birla the more he contributes to the development of education and society more will be his growth in business. This not just led to formation of a business empire but a education and social organization which contribute to the development of nation. He diversified the family owned fabric business to number of different un-related businesses like viscose staple, metals, cement, branded apparel, carbonblack, chemicals, financial services, telecom, BPO, IT services etc. making ABG 3rd largest business house in India.
The Group also links to strong heritage, with Birla family being one of the most important supporters to India’s struggle for Independence. Ghanshyam Das Birla was a close associate and a steady supporter to Mahatma Gandhi. He also provided financial backing to the movement of Independence and was actively engaged in talks with British for attainment of freedom.
