Flexibility is the most important key differentiator we IITians boast off. We are given the flexibility to choose electives of our choice and plan our MBA the way we want to, all thanks to the course structure of IIT.
The interdisciplinary suppleness wherein the B.Tech students are allowed to take one or two electives from our MBA course and vice verse, which is technically not possible in case of other proper B-schools, but for that get ready to be a part of a Marathon.
The IIT environment will take you on a tour of a plethora of research and consulting activities going on throughout the campus, thereby offering you ample opportunities and guiding you to choose your most desired career pathway.
We call our campus the most celebrated campus, as there is no such month when we can relax and not think about the next event we have to organise. Because for us February means Confluencia, Regalia whereas October means Thomso, just to name a few. We remember each month by the event assigned to that month. But the best part is its holistic environment which allows and seeks an equal participation of all the students from each department.
Diversification and Uniqueness of ideas and knowledge at our IIT Roorkee campus will definitely provide you with a very enriching and exciting experience and you will take pride in calling yourself the National Capital.
Let us not comment on the Infrastructures and the Facilities provided by IIT Roorkee, let the campus speak, but definitely we would like to welcome you and experience our Heritage. There is no such facility or lack of infrastructure which you want but the college cannot provide. And our department encourages extracurricular activities as much as studies. (We also have a sports committee at DoMS which is as important as the Media Cell or Placement Committee over here)
The ROI, not to mention is again a deciding factor for choosing an IIT over an IIM or any other B-school.
The widely integrated Alum base of IIT Roorkee, which I preferably not want to express in numbers, is the most significant parameter that actually invoked me to give up on every other B-school and choose DoMS IITR as my alma mater to pursue MBA.
All these factors and some more made me finally pack my bag and landed up to Roorkee with eyes full of dreams and passion to be a techno-manager, that too from IIT Roorkee and call myself an IITian Forever!
