XAT 2019 was conducted on 6th January 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a day before the release of the CAT 2018 results. The exam was conducted across 46 cities and was a computer-based test, as it has been ever since it went online in 2017. XAT results 2019 are out on 16th January 2019. check now! How To Check XAT 2019 Results

  • Visit the XAT Online 2019 website.
  • Use your XAT 2019 registration no. and date of birth to login.
  • Click on download the XAT score card.

XAT 2019 Exam Pattern

This year, the XAT paper pattern had certain modifications; the most significant being the removal of essay writing from the test. XAT 2019 consisted of 2 sections:
  • Main Paper
  • General Knowledge
The main paper consisted of 3 sections - Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. Test-takers were allotted 165 minutes (2 hours 45 minutes) to attempt this section.

The second section consisted of general awareness questions and consisted of 25 questions. Test-takers were allotted 15 minutes to attempt this section. Each question in section 1 carried 1 mark and had -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. There was no negative marking in section 2. The penalty for unattempted questions doubled from last year, going to -0.10 marks from -0.05 marks.

What To Do After XAT 2019 Results Are Released?

Candidates can view the XAT results on the official XAT website, and can print out their scorecard for further rounds of selection. After the results have been released, candidates will be shortlisted based on their XAT/GMAT scores. Following this, interview rounds will begin for institutes accepting XAT scores.
