There was one incident in my life which I would never forget. It happened during the School Tour of 2010 and we were enjoying at Ooty. Our group got lost in a remote place and neither of our network was showing range except for mine. Immediately we tried reaching all our friends and teachers from my phone and none was getting connected. Later we came to the realisation that only Idea sim has range in that area and we took all the contacts from our list and started calling Idea numbers only. One got connected and everything went well, and we said to each other "An Idea can really change your life".
The network coverage Idea Cellular has is like a big umbrella over the whole India. It's not that Idea is not the only product of Aditya Birla Group which has this sincerity, reliability and social commitment. Many products include Ultratech Cements, Birla Life Insurance, Hindalco, Peter England Fashions etc. have been shaping our lives since very long. A normal day in my life is not complete without coming across or being supported by any of the Aditya Birla Group products.
College Elections and Third Year Representative
College and college memories will never die until our last breath. Those were the most colourful days of my life. And yes of course when it comes to college politics, the feeling and emotions are priceless. I was very active in the college programmes since my 1st year of BTech life. During College elections we were having the best days of our life. The campaigning, election day, results were always close to the heart.
It was in my 3rd year I was offered a seat to compete in the panel of my favoured political party. Even when I was offered the seat, I was less confident whether I will be able to convert most votes into my account. And when the Opposition declared the candidate, everyone was surprised because the person who is competing against me was supposed to be their General Sec candidate and last minute they changed. Everything went onto a toss for me. But I was not ready to give up and asked support of my classmates who were not part of any political party. They became my strength and started my campaign. Initially the response I got was not satisfactory. But eventually the scene was changing when all my campaigning strategy was shifted to Online and telephone means. I did a research on the feasibility of the events which I can conduct and how innovative those can be. I have spent many sleepless nights for that. This played a crucial role in the campaign. When I detailed my implementation plan for the same I got the trust and Support of my batch mates.
Election day
Nothing much. I won. Third Year Representative of year 2015-2016.
And this will always be one of the most challenging situations I have come across my life. I have organized the Farewell Programme and Onam Celebrations as promised in the elections the very same exact way. And also this realisation "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
