Part B – How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far
The mistake of not being focused on preparing for IIT-JEE coaching in high school is one of the decisions I regret most in life. I was able to score just sufficient marks to clear JEE-Mains exam. I had many expectations from myself that I can do better. After realizing that I wanted to go for a drop and start preparing competitively but during that time, my parents disagreed with letting me go for a drop. So I had to go for my second best interest of pursuing graduation in mathematics from Delhi University and overpass by the dream of being an IITian. I regret my unpunctual behavior, I exhibited that time.
Being a Mathematics graduate, My life has always revolved around numbers, but I don’t want just to end up adding them, I want to do analysis behind them and formulate them for the benefit of the organization. So I decided to go for an MBA but choosing to advance in a career in management, there needs to be gain of many other parameters that define your role in an organization. A manager needs to be skilled in managing every situation he encounters, which requires leadership, communication, decision-making skills, etc. And this time I had determined that this time I won't repeat my mistake, if its MBA then it had to be from an institute of national importance, an IIM. I prepared hard along with my current studies, read a lot about how finance and analytics helped in changing the situations of the organizations. Having good percentile, I got admission in IIM Rohtak.
