A few days before writing the article I went through the A.B.G. website and surely, I knew there would be many things they were doing to become the best in the world and no doubt there was a long list to support my prediction. One part that I never guessed was how much they work and support for the undermined and unfortunates. The CSR at Aditya Birla Group will be a big part of my life. It has helped me find the hidden part of me which always longed to help the under privileged. Helping the poor section from my hometown to where I can reach has always pinged me at the back of my mind but with age came other responsibilities and destiny took me where I am now. I am happy to see such great work by A.B.G., which made me realise my responsibility as a human and this is why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life.
Biggest Challenge And How Did You Over-Come It.
My name is Jason Anuj Subba. I am from a small town, Kalimpong, situated in the hills of North Bengal. Many may not agree with me, but for life as a whole is a challenge. A challenge to become the best of me, a challenge to do what is right. These long-term challenges are for all of us, but the short-term challenges we face moulds us and helps us complete our long-term challenges.
One of such incidents happened to me when I was in the 6th standard. I had recently joined the school under-12 football team. I was really excited but knew very less about the game. Still as all my friends took part, I was excited to play too. Very soon we had a match against another school and there one of the big challenges started in my life. As the match progress I got a chance to play as I was on the bench. This was my chance to prove myself and what I did was scored an own goal. We lost and as I was really disappointed in myself every team member was angry at me.
I was really disheartened. Soon everyone started making fun of me and at that age I was really disappointed in myself. I resigned from the team and thought of never playing. With everyone at my back I soon lost all concentration and my participation in everything declined. Years passed and I slowly forgot and started to train again. Gained interest and made myself who I am now.
Over-coming that phase was tough and the disgrace and disappointment was really hard for a ten- years old to take but the challenge thought me how to fight back and learn from my mistake instead of running away. I joined the school team after three years. After that day I was always on the starting eleven. I proved myself after years of dedication when I was chosen as the captain of my school team in my final year.
