My Story to an MBA
It was after my first year Bachelor’s degree Examination that I met with an accident doing the thing I enjoyed the most, bicycling, little did I know a little stunt would result in a spinal compression putting me in bed rest for 1.5 months making me unable to sit for long periods for the next 3 months, it was a literal pain attending the second year classes. The physiotherapy continued for approximately the whole year.
The accident changed me, I no longer wanted to be the skinny weak guy, I wanted to change and in pursuit of the same I joined the gym and fell in love with the training, from a pursuit it became a lifestyle, with that I subscribed to boxing classes, the physical training gave my life a direction and it was clear to me about what I wanted to do in my career, the training made my mind calm and helped me make the crucial decision that I wasn’t crafted to become a Chartered Accountant, it helped me think that my perceptions mattered and I wasn’t made to do the accounting, auditing and tax filing, it was at this time I decided on pursuing an MBA and I started preparing for CAT.
Little did I know another mistake could have cost me my dreams, with the CAT prep. I joined Kickboxing where I met with another accident and tore Tibialis Anterior of my left leg, but I was focused on my career. I opted out of the surgery took the long road prepared for CAT and my interviews with a focus to join a premier B-school, I was the person who filled out most private B-schools, but to my surprise, I started converting IIMs and IIM Raipur was the final stop.
Right now I am just grateful to be studying in IIM Raipur.
