Twenty kilometres from the heart of the beautiful city Udaipur lies the fast-growing (both literally and symbolically) IIM Udaipur. Located in Balicha, it may not appear as a top b-school in the first impression. But when you move further and see what lies at the nerve centre of this college, you will find that this place is full of life and stories to tell. The students here are always brimming with new thoughts and ideas. There is a constant rush among people to overcome their own potential and surprise themselves. There is also some or the other corner of the institute having part or fun after having worked hard in the previous days. At 3:30 am you may find a group of 4 discussing some case or at 4 am another group partying in their room. But there is an order in this chaos. It fills people with the kind of confidence and energy that they had never explored. At the centre of this confidence and energy is the Director of the institute himself, Professor Janat Shah. Whether it be him down to earth and humble nature of dining with the students during the lunchtime or his “Tea Meetings” with PGP1 students, he always conveys the message to the students that he is always ready to help them and improve their skills. The kind of enthusiasm that he brings in the institute makes the students livelier. Mutual respect is one of the core values of IIM Udaipur and it is followed by every member of the community. This unique quality of not just respecting your professors and fellow students but also the housekeeping staff, mess staff and security staff along with any visitor who visits IIM Udaipur makes the college a place for the overall development of the whole community. You may walk in the mess at midnight and see badminton enthusiasts and table-tennis aficionados giving their best to win the game. This view is the reflection of the fighting and enthusiastic spirit of the institute itself. Whether it is playing football in uneven grounds or completing case studies and presentations at 5 am in the morning, the students of IIM Udaipur never give up. The spirit of fighting against all odds and triumphing over it is engrained in each and every student of the institute. It is this spirit that defines the life at IIM Udaipur and a key driver of what makes it so unique.   Which division interests me in Aditya Birla Group? Aditya Birla Retail Limited. I find the retail, especially the FMCG sector very interesting and challenging to work in. Having an interest in Sales and distribution, I would really like to work in the retail sector. Also, working with Aditya Birla Retail Ltd will provide me with a lot of insights from experienced professionals from different sectors such as FMCG products, fruits, vegetables, groceries, homecare, personal care, pharmacy, general merchandising, apparel and footwear and help me in gaining detailed knowledge and honing my skills. Also, maintaining the quality of these products during distribution all over the country will be a useful skillset that I can learn. #ABGLP
