Aditya Birla Group was probably the first conglomerate I had ever heard about in my life, that too at the very young age of 9 years. My father worked with the group and growing up, it was a household name. I had grown to recognise and trust the brand even before I realised the full extent of the power hold it held in the multitude of industries it participated in. It was not just a great place to work at, as I had already heard, but a great brand to be associated with as a customer as I realised along the years to come. It had always been present around me. In the building blocks of our home, UltraTech Cement provided the strength and security that makes a house a home. In my wardrobe, the Pantaloons fashion range, affordable and comfortable, made dressing up a breeze. The homemade lunch packed in Freshwrapp aluminium foil, made lunchtime outside of home carried the taste and care of a homely meal. My first pair of formals by Allen Solly gave me the confidence to step into the world of business. Today when I reflect upon it, Aditya Birla has been around forever, in its subtlety, making life convenient, comfortable, affordable without pushing itself to the forefront but instead, always keeping it’s customers foremost, in it’s values, it’s service, its products and that is why it is on top, not just in the world of business but on it’s customers’ minds. It is a company that cares.
