The world around us is ever evolving, what yesterday were myths have not turned into realities, science fiction turned into physics postulates. One conglomerate that according to me has been the epitome of change is Aditya Birla Group, the organization has always been one which has transformed itself with time and ensured it stays ahead of its competitors. The one department that has attracted me the most would be Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited.
Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) has been one which has always been changing with time. From brands like Pantaloons to Louis Philippe the company caters to all demographics ensuring through its various brands that everyone has an identity of their own. I have interacted with quite a few of them and have had an enriching experience with all of them. With age, as I have matured and changed my fashion sense, I have always found an answer with ABFRL. The various brands have given me a platform to identify myself especially during my tumultuous teenage years. The brands have also instilled in me confidence and helped me become an extrovert in life. The clothing has helped me express what I feel and also made me into an individual of semblance.
The kid grew from a boy who wanted light in his shoes to one wearing formal shoes, he went from having a small squeaky voice to a coarse one but one thing that did not change throughout the years is his affiliation to a conglomerate.
I now understand why my mother said “all the best” to me that day. At that moment I was thinking that it’s not a big deal moving 8 kms away from my home to an institute where I was going to spend two years of my life. One fine day I’m suddenly living with two unknown people in a small room 2 kms away from my college. For a person who has always had the privilege of living alone in a big room, this was a big challenge.
Born and brought up in Delhi, adapting to change was somewhat difficult for me as I had never experienced living in a hostel before. As time passed, I became good friends with both of them and my frequent visits to home became infrequent in a matter of just two months. Who would have thought that two strangers would become the closest friends I ever had. Imagine being so close that you plan an impromptu Goa trip with them one night before the year ended.
I am glad that I gave MBA a chance to improve my life and it actually helped me develop in ways I would never have imagined. I would always recommend everyone to try something new and challenging. Who knows, it might change your life.
